Authors Notes: It’s official – I am mad.  Having started the houndxmirage Three's a Charm challenge, flarn_fanfic said how she wished someone was doing something similar for redxinferno.  And I’m easily suggestible when it comes to that pairing.  So I shall be attempting a drabble (100 words) every day.  Feel free to poke me (gently) if I miss a day?
Feedback makes friends.  Flames dealt with by the masters of paranoia and fire, Red Alert and Inferno.


November 22 – enspirit
“He enspirits me.” Red Alert confided in Smokescreen.  “It’s like he makes life worth living again.”
“And have you told him this?” Smokescreen leant back in his chair, glad that his old friend was happy once more.  He’d watched Red Alert’s gradual decline over the years, helpless to do anything.
“Not yet.” Red Alert looked down at his hands.  “I… I guess I’m scared to tell him how I feel.”
“Why?” Smokescreen couldn’t help but slip into psychiatrist mode.
“Because he might not feel the same.” Red Alert admitted in a whisper.
"I seriously doubt that, Red.  Seriously doubt it.”

Yes, poor Red would be nervous about revealing his feelings, but Smokey is right, Red has nothing to worry about.

I think it's time to do the old locking in the supply closet trick.
