Authors Notes: It’s official – I am mad.  Having started the houndxmirage Three's a Charm challenge, flarn_fanfic said how she wished someone was doing something similar for redxinferno.  And I’m easily suggestible when it comes to that pairing.  So I shall be attempting a drabble (100 words) every day.  Feel free to poke me (gently) if I miss a day?

November 18 – aoristic
Inferno always asked, but Red Alert always remained as aoristic as he had done.  He wasn’t sure, truth be told.  Of course he loved Inferno and wanted to spend the rest of his existence with the fire truck.  But bonding was a step he wasn’t sure he could take.  To let someone in that deeply, to show Inferno everything that he was.  It scared him.  Yet Inferno kept asking and he was worried that he might actually say yes and then Inferno would truly know him.  The thought that he might walk away scared Red Alert more than anything else.

I know that, you know that, Inferno knows that. The problem is convincing Red Alert of that fact! :)

Thank you. I fully imagine Red Alert wouldn't actually be bonded to Inferno.. because it's... too much, a step too far.

Oh, yeah, that walk off the cliff and TRUSTING that someone will be there to catch you. Um, yeah, I could see Red Alert never getting to that edge.

I find it hard to believe that Red would take that step too. But Inferno would be happy with whatever he got I think.
