December 1 – plangent
Hound woke up with a start, the plangent sound startling him out of recharge.
“Not again…” He groaned, heaving himself off the berth and entering the adjoining room. Mirage was sat there, their sparkling in his arms. His audios were more than likely offline as their sparkling cried at the top of his vocaliser. Mirage looked up and gave Hound a tired smile.
“Sorry he woke you.”
“No matter.” Hound moved to stand behind Mirage’s chair, gazing down at their sparkling. They both relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief as their sparkling stopped wailing to look up at Hound.
