Feedback makes friends. Flames dealt with by the masters of paranoia and fire, Red Alert and Inferno.
"How did you manage to get stones in your thrusters?" Skyfire was incredulous as Starscream reluctantly explained the reason he was late for their meeting.
"Don't ask." Skyfire smiled patiently and refrained from mentioning that he had indeed just asked.
"Sit down and let me get them out then."
"It's fine." Starscream sat down stiffly, evidently in pain, but refusing to admit it.
"Here..." Skyfire brought out a couple of cubes of energon from his subspace and held one out for Starscream. Ever since his rescue from the ice (the second time round mind you), they'd been meeting up. Secretly. Or as secretly as they could. Skyfire was convinced that Red Alert knew exactly where he was going every time he left to meet Starscream. Despite the animosity that had tainted their last parting, they still managed to rekindle the friendship they had before the war.
A friendship that was slowly turning into more.
Skyfire had always been fascinated with Starscream; how the mech could have such a scientifically curious mind, yet hunger for the violence and destruction that made up Decepticon ideals. It helped that the Seeker's frame was something to admire. Smaller and sleeker than his own bulky chassis, Skyfire had recently entertained ideas of how it would feel pressed against his own chassis.
"Skyfire?" Starscream's questioning tone brought him back to the present and he tilted his head at the smaller Seeker.
"Sorry."
"Thinking again? You always thought too much."
"Better to think than rush into things like you used to." Starscream snorted and stretched out, sipping slowly at the cube of energon. While he wouldn't openly thank Skyfire, he did appreciate the fact that the shuttle brought energon to their clandestine meetings. Rations were small in the Decepticon army and he rarely got enough to fully energise himself. Besides, he wasn't entirely sure that Skyfire would approve of some of the methods he'd like to use to thank him. But he found that every way he wanted to thank Skyfire involved showing him exactly how much he cared. But Decepticons didn’t care. That’s what he kept telling himself, regardless of the feelings that ran through his processor whenever he thought about or saw the shuttle.
“Starscream?” Shaking his head, Starscream looked up as Skyfire spoke, that deep rich voice caressing his audios. He finished the cube, crushing it and making up his processor at the same time.
“Thank you.” He’d barely spoken when he moved, twisting up against Skyfire and pressing his lips against the shuttle’s. He smiled as Skyfire’s arms automatically wrapped around his frame and he responded to the kiss with a soft moan.

How it went from a simple kiss to them crying out each other's name in the throes of overload, neither of them could quite remember. They lay there quietly, Starscream nestled up against Skyfire in a way that was very un-Decepticon-like.
“Still have to get those stones out of your thrusters.”
