Authors Notes: I had fun doing the prowlxjazz Anniversary Challenge, if no one else enjoyed reading them. So when tf_rare_pairing announced their October challenge, I thought I might try something similar. Though this is going to be different as I have to write on a daily basis again. But that was fun when I did it before (both times). So yeah… wish the ever-more-eccentric one luck?  Resisting the urge to rewrite Poe...

“No!” Red Alert backed away.  “Not after the last time.”
“But you promised…” Starscream didn’t whine, but it was close.
“Starscream.” Red Alert’s voice held a definite note of warning.
“Fine.  But you still owe me.” Starscream pouted.  “I saved your aft with that Negavator incident.”
“And I showed you my appreciation.”
“But you won’t do this for me?”
“No.” Red Alert was firm.
“But…”
“But nothing.” He cut in before Starscream could really start whining.  “The last time we tried that, I ended up fritzing, and I’m sure you remember what happened to your wings?”
“Yes, but…”
“Yes but nothing.” Red Alert shook his head.  “Never again.  Not next week, not next year, frag, not next decade or century.”
“Nevermore?” Starscream clarified sulkily.
“Yes.”
