Rating: NC-17
Series: G1
Pairings: Inferno/Firestar/Red Alert
Summary: It’s always bittersweet parting before a mission, but Inferno, Firestar and Red Alert have a pact that ensures they will never lose the mechs they love.
Warnings: Sticky, mechpreg, double penetration, femmes with spikes, size kink (c’mon, it’s Inferno)
Disclaimer: As per usual, the good things in life are not mine to have, but belong to someone else... in this case Hasbro, Takara and IDW and anyone else I’ve forgotten…
Authors Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] tfanonkink rompt here, the premise being that a trio of Autobots get together before each mission and well… the prompter put it best, frag each others lights out.  The transfluid from each partner is sealed in their reproductive tanks, and if one doesn’t make it back, the others can activate their carrying protocols and have a sparkling that contains the coding of all of them.
And yes, I’m owning up to this one.
Feedback makes friends.  Flames dealt with by the masters of paranoia and fire, Red Alert and Inferno.

Inferno onlined his optics slowly, systems diagnostics feeding him too much information at once.
“How do you feel?” Hoist leant into his field of vision and Inferno considered his answer.
“Guess I feel all right.” He drawled, a little disturbed at how staticky his vocaliser sounded.
“How long?” He asked, wanting to know how long he’d been in stasis.  The last thing he remembered was being put in stasis on board the Ark before it left Cybertron.
“Four million years.” For a moment, Inferno was sure he’d heard wrong, that perhaps his audios were malfunctioning.

“How long?!” Red Alert’s screech assured him that his audios were working correctly.  Automatically, he glanced to see where his mate was.  Red Alert was on a nearby berth, evidently panicking on being told how long they’d been in stasis.  He was struggling determinedly against Ratchet’s firm hold.
“Fraggit, Red, calm down.” Ratchet frantically tried to reassure Red Alert, needing to calm him down before his systems offlined themselves.
“Four million years?  Four million years!  Cybertron…” Any more Red Alert was going to say was cut off as Ratchet managed to slide a needle into an energon line and put him into a medical stasis.

Ratchet leant against the berth, wearily scrubbing one hand across his face.  Putting Red Alert back into stasis hadn’t been the ideal option, but the mech was just not listening to reason.  And his systems, after so long in stasis, wouldn’t hold up to that amount of stress.

Inferno’s immediate reaction had been to go to Red Alert’s side, but a gentle hand on his arm stopped him.  He looked up at Hoist, realising that Ratchet had things under control as Red Alert stopped struggling.
“Four million years?  Have we really been in stasis that long?  It were only meant ta be a few years.” Hoist handing him a cube full of energon before he responded.
“Yes.” Hoist explained what had happened briefly, as Inferno drank, sagging back on the berth as the energy rerouted itself throughout his systems.  “And we’ve only just collected enough energy to revive everyone on board.”
“Have we had any contact with Cybertron?” Inferno couldn’t help but ask, as concerned as Red Alert had been about it, but hiding it better.  The look on Hoist’s face said it all.
“We haven’t had any contact.” Ratchet stepped up to Inferno’s side, stopping Hoist from saying anything more.  Ratchet glanced back at the berth where Red Alert lay.
“I’ve put him back in stasis temporarily.  I want you there and visible when I bring him back round.  Hopefully your presence will calm him down enough so that his systems can actually process the energy and online fully.”
“Yeah…” Inferno didn’t sound particularly convinced.  He wasn’t as sure as Ratchet seemed to be that his presence would help.  But he was willing to give it ago.  Though, Firestar would have been the better choice to help Red Alert calm down.  But Firestar wasn’t here.  And after four million years, he wasn’t even sure whether Firestar still functioned.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“We treat it like every other time.” Red Alert stated, hands on his hips.
“But it’s different this time.” Firestar protested.  She stared at Red Alert, taking in his determined posture and realised this was going to be a short argument.
“It’s not.” Red Alert was insistent.
“The Ark ain’t gonna be gone that long.” Inferno added, trying to mediate.
“It’s an extended mission.  You’re going to be gone for at least five years, if not more.  Primus, you’re being put into stasis!”
“It’s more energy efficient.” Red Alert explained.  “Please, can’t we just carry on as normal?” Inferno winced at the pleading note he could detect in Red Alert’s voice.  It would be harder for Firestar to cope with this mission, this search for energy, as she was being left behind on Cybertron; her skills more useful there.

Firestar sighed.  “It’s selfish, but I want you to stay here.” She paused, collecting herself, but continued hastily as Red Alert looked as though he was about to interrupt.  “But I’d never forgive myself if something happened…” She trailed off, not wanting to think about what could happen.  That was, after all, the reason for their ‘arrangement’.  If any of them didn’t return, at least they had their coding.  And switching on their carrying protocols would ensure a sparkling with coding from all three of them.  At least if one of them were deactivated, they would still have part of them.  In some small sense.

“Thank you.” Red Alert murmured, stepping closer to Firestar and pulling her into a comforting hug.  Inferno shook his head.  He’d known that it would end up like this from the moment Red Alert entered the room.  There hadn’t been an argument he’d witnessed yet that Red Alert couldn’t win.  Mech had an answer for just about everything.

“Should know by now Firestar, Red always gets his way.” Inferno joked, stepping towards his lovers.  “Though, I ain’t complaining.”
“Inferno, you never complain about interfacing.” Red Alert scoffed, a smile on his face.
“Except about not getting enough of it.” Firestar added, prompting a laugh from both mechs.
“Can ya blame me when I got this ta ‘face?” He waved his arms at the pair of them, watching as Red Alert hid his face against Firestar’s shoulder.
“Oh be quiet Inferno.” Firestar muttered, but the look she gave Inferno over her shoulder was smouldering.  It would have taken a mech with iron self control to stop himself from moving in and sweeping the two of them into his arms.

Inferno, however, was not a mech with iron self-control.  He swept both of them into his arms, relishing the warmth of their systems against his plating.

~*~

Inferno settled himself on the berth, wanting to start somewhere comfortable.  It wouldn’t last; he knew by the end of the night they would be sprawled on the floor in a tangle of limbs, each fighting to cool their systems down.  Firestar tugged Red Alert towards the berth, and they both clambered up, each easily straddling one of Inferno’s legs.
“Now this is more like it.” He grinned, reaching out to stroke down Firestar’s back.
“You would say that.” Red Alert muttered, optics following Inferno’s hand.
“D’ya expect me ta complain when I got two beautiful ‘bots on my lap?”
“Well, I would…” Red Alert was cut off as Firestar pulled him into a deep kiss, effectively silencing anything he would have said.
“Definitely more like it.” Inferno amended his earlier statement.  Firestar let out a soft moan in agreement, arching her back into Inferno’s hand.

Pulling back from Firestar for a moment, Red Alert just watched the way she moved.  He’d always been envious of the easy grace with which she moved, and it was never so apparent as it was now.  She writhed on Inferno’s leg as the larger mech let his hand trail across her frame, brushing against armor seams and hot spots.  He loved watching his lovers together; that was something they all shared in common.

A large hand on his back distracted him from Firestar momentarily.  He couldn’t help the tingle that ran down his spinal strut at Inferno’s touch.  The tingle was quickly followed by a shudder as his processor reminded him of the circumstances, and that it could be the last time they did this.
“Red, stop thinkin’.” Inferno admonished quietly.  Shaking his head, Red Alert leant forward, pulling Firestar back into another kiss.  Inferno rumbled his appreciation, tugging them both so they were leaning against his chest plating.
“I ain’t ever gonna get tired a watchin’ the pair a ya.” He could feel their systems heating up already.  As one, they turned to face him, shifting their kisses from each other to him.  Inferno groaned, letting them take the lead and lying down as they pushed him flat.  Once his head hit the berth, they moved again, in tandem, to concentrate their efforts on Inferno

Firestar moved to straddle his legs, letting Red Alert shimmy up the berth closer to Inferno’s head.  As though connected, they moved as one, pressing close to kiss his plating; Firestar at his interface panel, Red Alert at his neck.  He moaned at the soft teasing touches to his interface panel, gasping as Red Alert nipped a cable. Under the gentle assault to his sensors, he couldn’t resist for long (nor did he want to), and let his panel slide open.  That action prompted a pleased noise from Firestar as she seamlessly moved from kissing plating, to kissing Inferno’s valve.  Any noise that Inferno made was swiftly covered by Red Alert’s mouth over his.  The larger mech writhed under their attentions, soon reduced to pleading for more.  Which was exactly what they wanted.
“On your knees.” Firestar pulled back, slipping off Inferno’s frame to give him chance to move.  Red Alert moved too, angling himself underneath Inferno.

Inferno stayed on his hands and knees, watching as Red Alert manoeuvred himself beneath him, interface panel sliding open and spike extending.  He groaned as Firestar placed her hands on his hips, knowing what was coming.  They didn’t do this often, but when they did, the overloads were processor-blowing.  Typical that his lovers would decide to do this right before they left.  Though, he had to say, it was certainly a good way to leave.  If there was ever a good way.  His thought train was derailed as Red Alert thrust up, his spike sliding smoothly into Inferno’s valve.  Inferno groaned, angling himself just a little to make it easier for Red Alert to thrust.
“Ready?” Firestar’s voice was soft and he nodded.  He felt her spike against the rim of his valve, nudging in slowly alongside Red Alert’s.  He moaned, the stretch almost too much, just this side of being painful.  Red Alert clutched at Inferno’s arms as Firestar slid in, as much to ground himself as to help distract Inferno.  Firestar stilled when her spike was completely encased by Inferno’s valve.  She let out a low moan, the feel of Red Alert’s spike rubbing against her as the mech shifted underneath Inferno was intoxicating, and could almost drive her to overload.  Venting deeply, she calmed herself a little before making a tentative thrust.  Inferno groaned, but it was filled with pleasure rather than pain.  Red Alert fairly shrieked, grabbing at Inferno’s arms again, hard enough to leave dents.  It was always the same; with his sensitive sensor suite, doing this was almost too much for him.  Almost.

“Primus.” Inferno ground out, valve clenching around both spikes.  He was closer than he wanted to admit, closer than he thought he would be this early in the evening.  But then, he hadn’t thought they’d double-team him.
“No, Firestar.” She reminded him, stroking his back before thrusting gently, setting up a slow pace that Red Alert could handle.  Too fast, and he would be overloading before either of them, and then would feel guilty for the rest of the night.  Which was not what she wanted.  Red Alert timed his thrusts with hers, both of them sliding out of Inferno’s valve at the same time before plunging back in.  Inferno’s arms trembled as he held himself up, moaning and pleading with them.  Red Alert reached between them to grasp Inferno’s spike, loving the mewl he got out of the larger mech at the action.  Firestar grinned, gripping Inferno’s hips.
“Do you want to overload?” She asked, teasing him.
“Frag, yes!” Inferno’s answer was fervent.  Firestar rolled her hips, changing the position of her spike in his valve briefly and causing both mechs to whimper.  Red Alert’s hand tightened around Inferno’s spike, stroking to the rhythm they’d set up.  It didn’t take much longer before Inferno’s valve was clamping down on their spikes, curtailing their thrusts as he overloaded with a deep moan.  Red Alert barely lasted a moment longer, crying out as he emptied transfluid into Inferno’s valve.  Firestar overloaded at the feeling of Red Alert’s spike throbbing against hers in release.  Inferno’s reproductive tank greedily drew in their transfluid, storing it ready for when he switched on his protocols. Firestar rested only briefly, well aware that Inferno, big mech as he was, would be struggling to hold himself up now.  Carefully, she eased her spike out.  Both Inferno and Red Alert moaned as she did so, Inferno slowly pulling himself off Red Alert, who lay on the berth with a ridiculously large smile on his face.

“Sometimes, I’m not sure who’s more satisfied by doing that, you or him.” Firestar remarked teasingly to Inferno as they curled up together.  Red Alert shifted over to join them.
“I can hear you.” He pouted, snuggling up against Inferno’s side.
“I know you can, that’s why I said it.” Firestar grinned.  Inferno just shook his head, immersing himself in their teasing bickering.  He wouldn’t hear it for a while, and he always forgot how much he enjoyed listening to them on nights like this.  It always brought back home the danger of the missions they were going on, knowing that he was leaving this behind.
“Now you’re the one who’s thinking.” Red Alert murmured quietly.  Firestar laughed.
“He’s got you there.”
“Awww, pit.” Inferno groaned theatrically before rolling and pinning Red Alert.  “Now I got him.” He laughed at the expression of mock-indignation on Red Alert’s face.
“And what are you going to do with me now you’ve got me?” Red Alert asked, voice dropping into a huskier register.  For those who knew Red Alert outside the berth, they would never think he could sound as sexy as he did.
“Now?” Firestar questioned as she leant around Inferno to look down at Red Alert.  “Now I think Inferno’s going to hold you down while I frag you senseless.”  Red Alert shivered.  Inferno grinned.
“Ya always have the best ideas ‘Star.” He turned his head to kiss her.  Red Alert squirmed, imprinting the image in his memory banks.  He had so many versions of this; of his lovers kissing one another, each taken on a night like this, when anything could happen.  Even though they’d always returned to one another, he couldn’t find it in himself to delete them.  They became a permanent memory of every time they had had to leave each other.  Something to remind him of what he had when he was away from them.

“Of course I do.” Firestar grinned, pulling away from Inferno and pinning Red Alert with a look. Red Alert shivered again.  Inferno grinned, pulling Red Alert close to him and rolling over onto his back, Red Alert perched on top of him.
“Good…” Firestar purred, leaning over and kissing Red Alert, pinning him against Inferno’s frame.  Inferno groaned as he felt Red Alert’s engine rev through his armor.  He sat up a little, letting Red Alert slide down his frame until he was nestled between his legs.
“Perfect.” Firestar sat back and looked at them; Red Alert’s predominantly white plating contrasting beautifully against Inferno’s red.  Leaning forward again, she stroked down Red Alert’s chest plating, making him arch and reach for her so he could respond.  Almost immediately, Inferno’s hands settled around Red Alert’s arms, gently restraining him.  Red Alert let out another moan.  It was always good taking Red Alert’s control away from him.  Or at least giving the air of taking away his control.

Grinning up at Inferno, Firestar ran her hands down Red Alert’s thighs, encouraging him to part his legs.  Not that he needed much encouragement.  Spreading his legs, Red Alert canted his hips, moans falling from lips as he tried to writhe under Firestar’s talented fingers.  Inferno watched eagerly, easily restraining Red Alert (though, if he really thought Red Alert was protesting, he would let go) as Firestar teased him.  At the first touch to his valve, Red Alert’s squirming renewed.
“Easy Red, calm yerself.” Inferno murmured, stroking Red Alert’s arms.  Firestar looked up at them.  Despite appearances, Inferno was one of the most caring mechs she’d met, and it was never more apparent when he was with Red Alert.  He was so gentle, so reassuring, so calm.  And it worked wonders on Red Alert, calming him down both in and out of the berth.

Red Alert nodded, focussing on calming himself down.  It was the downside of his sensor suite, being so sensitive, meaning that everything was sensitive.  Something his mates loved taking advantage of.  He leant back against Inferno, relaxed.  Firestar took her cue from his actions and rubbed slow circles on the inside of his thighs.  Red Alert purred happily, spreading his legs a little more in encouragement.  Smiling, Firestar leant in again, kissing the rim of his valve.  With each lick, she catalogued his taste, recording it to her memory banks.  She never wanted to forget how each of her lovers tasted.  She had so many files containing her sensor readings, one from each night they shared like this.  She supposed it was an effect of knowing Red Alert; his thoroughness rubbing off on her in some small way.  Those readings and her memory files kept her going when they were apart.
“Please…” Red Alert begged, twisting his hips.
“What, Red?” Inferno asked, voice soft and husky against Red Alert’s helm.
“Want you, please.” He answered, staring straight at Firestar.  She pulled back, resting her thumbs at the rim of Red Alert’s valve and looked at Inferno, apparently ignoring Red Alert.
“What do you think, should I give it to him?”
“Mmmm…” Tightening his grip a little on Red Alert as the mech squirmed again, Inferno pretended to think.  “Yeah, I think you should give it to him.”
“Would you like that, Red?” He murmured against Red Alert’s audio.  Red Alert moaned.  “Do you want her to frag you so hard your circuits sizzle?”
“Yes…” Red Alert whimpered, as much at the idea as the way Inferno was talking to him.  Firestar wasn’t immune; a shiver wracking her frame as she listened to Inferno.
“Yes?”
“Yes, please… I want her to ‘face me hard.” Red Alert expanded.  Inferno grinned at Firestar.
“There ya go, he’s told ya what he wants.” Red Alert moaned, shifting his hips almost restlessly.
“Yeah…” Firestar shifted position, her spike nudging against Red Alert’s valve.
“Please…” He begged, arching up as much as Inferno would let him.
“Always, Red.” She promised, sinking her spike into his valve.  Red Alert whimpered as her spike filled him.  It was so intense, so good.  So right.  Firestar moaned as heat surrounded her spike; Red Alert’s slick valve seemingly drawing her spike in further.
“Ya look so good together.” Inferno murmured, voice carrying easily even over the sound of Firestar thrusting into Red Alert.  He could feel Red Alert trembling with each thrust, drawing inexorably closer and closer to his own overload.  Inferno let his hands play over Red Alert’s plating, brushing against Firestar’s in the protest.  Her thrusts were slow and well timed, a show that she was close to the edge and wanting to hold out as long as possible.
“Let yourself go.” He murmured to both of them, wanting to watch, wanting to see them overload.  It was one of the few memories he treasured and would never delete.  Inferno might be described as reckless by some, but he didn’t act as rashly as he could perhaps, not when he had his lovers to return to.  But not everyone knew that.

As though commanded, Red Alert arched, overloading with a cry.  Firestar followed soon after, unable to hold out against Red Alert’s clenching valve around her spike.  She thrust twice more, spilling her fluid, where it was pulled into Red Alert’s reproductive tank.  Red Alert moaned softly, sinking back against Inferno’s frame.  Firestar slowly pulled out, shifting to cuddle against Inferno, one hand stroking over Red Alert’s chest plating.  Red Alert was content for the moment to just lie there, accepting the affection shown by both his lovers.  Then he squirmed, sensation becoming too much for his sensor net as it rebooted after his overload.  He moved, rolling over Inferno’s leg to curl next to him, darkened optics watching Firestar.  Firestar smiled back at him, hand moving to rest on Inferno’s chest plating.  Inferno rumbled happily, pulling Firestar on to his lap.  She pushed against his chest, wanting him to lie down.
“Berth’s not big enough.” Red Alert pointed out, prompting simultaneous groans from both Inferno and Firestar.  He couldn’t help but smile at that.  He was always the one pointing out the obvious.
“Fine.” Inferno gathered Red Alert into his arms too and rolled off the berth, hitting the floor with a clang, but protecting both his lovers.
“Reckless.” Red Alert chided, but he still stretched and pressed a kiss to Inferno’s lips before rolling off, resuming their previous positions.  Firestar just shook her head, straddling Inferno.  She glanced down at Red Alert, checking to make sure he was all right.  He gave her a smile, optics flickering, a sure sign of his low energy.
“Red, energon, now.” She ordered, patting his arm affectionately.  Red Alert grumbled, but got to his feet, stumbling across the room to the cabinet where they kept their energon rations.  He looked back at his lovers to see Firestar lower herself slowly onto Inferno’s spike.  He leant against the cabinet, sipping a cube, watching hungrily as Inferno’s large spike disappeared slowly into Firestar’s valve.  Inferno groaned, his hands on Firestar’s hips, helping her lower herself down.

“How does it feel?” He asked almost conversationally, sipping his cube.  He knew exactly how it felt, he just knew that Firestar loved describing it.
“It feels so good.  So big.” Inferno preened, drawing amused glances from both of them.
“Ya say that ev’ry time.” He muttered, voice hoarse as he fought not to buck up and bury the whole of his spike in Firestar’s valve.
“That’s because it’s true.” She moaned as she finally sank down, Inferno’s spike fully in her valve.  “You fill me up so nicely.”
“Oh, he does, doesn’t he?” Red Alert pushed away from the table he was leaning on to move back to where Inferno lay on the floor.  “Sometimes I think that’s why we keep him around.” He knelt down next to Inferno, locking optics with Firestar.
“Ya keep me around because ya love me.” Inferno groaned, fingers shaking against Firestar’s hips.  It was obvious he wanted to thrust, but was stopping himself.
“Of course we love you.” Red Alert was quick to reassure him.  “And we love your spike.” He took another sip from his cube, watching Firestar.
“And such a big spike it is.” She purred, grinding her hips down against Inferno’s.  “Fills me completely, stretches me… She threw her head back and moaned.  Inferno echoed the moan, hands dropping to the floor by his sides, knowing that Firestar and Red Alert were in charge of this encounter now.  And he didn’t mind that one bit.

Firestar leant forward, stretching to kiss Inferno before pulling back up to tug Red Alert closer for another kiss.  Inferno had the perfect view.  And he said so.
“And you say that every time.” Firestar teased back, stroking across Inferno’s chest plating.
“Can ya blame me?  Two hot ‘bots making out right over me?  What’s not ta like?”  He had so many image files showing the same thing.  So many views of his lovers kissing, tender, beautiful moments that he never wanted to forget.  Each night they had like this was tinged with bittersweet sadness.  They didn’t know what would happen, never knew if the others would survive.  Never knew whether they would survive.

Shaking away those thoughts, Inferno concentrated on the moment, hands moving back up to Firestar’s hips, encouraging her to move.  She did, rising up a little, pulling herself off Inferno’s spike before sinking back down.
“Aw yeah.” Inferno groaned, one hand reaching up to smooth over Firestar’s plating.  She arched against his hand, content to let him guide her movements, settling into an easy rhythm.  Red Alert watched them, dispersing his empty cube with a flick of his fingers before leaning forward to stroke Firestar’s spike.  Her optics flashed on in surprise.  Red Alert just smiled at her, optics focussed on Inferno’s spike moving in and out of her valve and his own hand stroking her spike.  Inferno dropped his hand to cover Red Alert’s and together they stroked Firestar’s spike, causing her to arch and writhe on Inferno’s spike.

“Please…” She stammered out the word, bracing herself on Inferno’s legs, rocking her hips forward as they teased her.
“Please what?” Red Alert asked, clearly enjoying the role-reversal from earlier.
“Please, want to overload…” She begged, focussing on Red Alert’s optics.  Red Alert nodded his approval, glancing at Inferno.  He could tell from Inferno’s face that he was close as well.  He tightened his grip, increasing the tempo of his hand on her spike.  Firestar gasped, arching back and letting herself go, overloading with a cry.  Inferno groaned, hips thrusting up as Firestar overloaded, her valve clamping down around his spike.  He overloaded with a grunt, Firestar’s valve practically milking his overload from him, greedily drawing his transfluid into her reservoir.
“Perfect…” Red Alert purred as he watched his lovers overload.  Inferno slumped back on the berth, Firestar sprawling over his chest, his spike still nestled in her valve.  Red Alert stroked her back, then stood up to fetch them both some energon.  They always ran through energon quicker on nights like this.  But then, none of them complained.

~*~

Inferno propped himself up against the base of the berth, slowly drinking his energon. Firestar lounged against his leg, sipping her own.  Red Alert, having already refuelled, had curled up next to Firestar and was running his fingers across her thigh.  Inferno chuckled as she wriggled against his leg, trying to move away from Red Alert’s fingers.
“Ticklish ‘Star?”
“No.  Just trying to refuel.”
“And I’m letting you refuel.” Red Alert pouted.  “I’m just… amusing myself.” Inferno’s chuckle got louder.
“Amusin’ yerself?”
“Yes.”
“Well, amuse yourself with something else.” Firestar mock-huffed.
“All right then.” Red Alert agreed happily, sliding down Firestar’s frame.  Inferno grinned, knowing exactly what Red Alert was up to.  When Firestar squeaked, he let out a laugh.
“Ya did ask fer it.” He pointed out with a grin.  Firestar muttered something and Red Alert slapped her thigh in reprimand.
“Fine…” Spreading her legs, she watched as Red Alert settled in between them, optics focussed on her interface array.  The expression on his face was intense concentration, normally something she associated with him working.  Now all of his attention was focussed on her.  And she loved it.

Red Alert regarded the spike in front of him.  It wasn’t that often he got Firestar relaxed enough to allow this, but she was now.  Reaching out, he grasped the spike in his hand, fingers smoothing up the ridges covering it.  Firestar moaned, leaning back against Inferno’s leg.  Red Alert smiled, leaning forward to lap at the tip of her spike.  Firestar gasped, one hand coming down to stroke his helm, fingers curling around one of his horns.  Red Alert moaned, pulling in more of Firestar’s spike in response.  Glossa swirling around the tip, he sucked hard, making Firestar buck her hips up.
“Frag, Red.” Her voice was hoarse now, and she stroked the horn she’d accidentally squeezed apologetically.  Pushing his head into her hand, Red Alert mutely accepted her apology before he refocused his attention on her spike.
“That’s it…” Inferno crooned, wrapping an arm around Firestar now that they’d finished their cubes, holding her close, and indirectly stopping her from thrusting up too much.  She moaned, grabbing on to his arm as Red Alert moved from her spike to her valve, licking and kissing his away around the rim.  He could taste the small amount of Inferno’s transfluid left in her valve, and his engine revved in response.
“I can taste you both.” He murmured.
“Do we taste good?” Inferno grinned.
“Like fine high-grade.” Red Alert purred his answer, glossa darting into Firestar’s valve drawing a long moan from her.
“Please, Red…” She begged, hand tugging gently on a helmet horn.  Red Alert moved up to kiss her, his own spike standing proud.  Time seemed to stand still for him as he thrust into Firestar that first time.  The long languorous glide of his spike against the sensors in her valve had Firestar moaning, gripping on to Inferno’s arm.  Red Alert stopped once he was fully in, pausing to collect himself, not wanting to finish too soon.
“You feel so good.” He moaned, bracing himself with one hand on the floor and one on Inferno’s leg and thrusting slowly.  Firestar whimpered, rocking her hips up to meet his thrusts.

Red Alert was right, he wasn’t going to last long.  Not with how tight Firestar’s valve felt, snug around his spike.  His thrusts became more erratic, and he managed to mumble an apology before he overloaded, thrusting throughout his overload and trying to bring Firestar to hers.  It worked, and Firestar overloaded with a squeal, valve clenching around Red Alert’s spike and holding it in place.  Arms trembling, Red Alert managed to hold himself up above Firestar, pulling out slowly before collapsing next to her.  Firestar smiled, stroking his helm comfortingly.
“Love the way he makes ya moan.” Inferno mused, shifting to scoop Red Alert onto his lap.  Firestar followed, sandwiching Red Alert between them.  She tweaked his spoiler to see his reaction, and wasn’t disappointed as he threw back his head and moaned.
“I love the way he moans.” She chuckled, nuzzling Red Alert’s neck.  He turned his head to give her better access, hands braced against Inferno’s chest plating.
“Yeah, hafta agree with ya there.” Inferno wrapped his arms around both of them, pulling them close.  “He sounds like he needs somethin’.”  Red Alert whimpered.
“I think he needs a nice thick spike filling him.” Firestar purred, pressing closer against his back.  Red Alert whimpered again, wriggling on Inferno’s lap.
“Yeah.” Inferno nodded, easily lifting Red Alert up.  Firestar helped support him, and together they slowly lowered him down onto Inferno’s ready spike.  Red Alert moaned, trying to push down, but they stopped him before he could do himself any damage.

Eventually Inferno’s spike filled him and Red Alert let out a happy trill.  Firestar pressed close again, pushing him against Inferno’s chest plating.  Red Alert wrapped his arms around Inferno’s neck, pulling himself up a little before sinking back down.  Inferno groaned at the motion.
“That’s it, Red.” Firestar placed her hands on his sides, helping him move himself on Inferno’s spike, pressing kisses to the back of his neck.  Her spike rubbed against his aft as he moved, causing them both to moan with the sensation.  Red Alert saved each moment like this in his memory; the feeling of being surrounded and filled by his lovers.  Nothing on Cybertron made him feel safe and secure like he did when he was in the arms of his lovers.  And he never wanted the moment to end.

It was a slow gentle buildup to overload, and as Firestar and Inferno kissed over his shoulder, Red Alert overloaded, frame going rigid.  Inferno was swept over the edge into his own overload with a surprised noise.  Firestar moaned, dropping a hand to stroke at her spike, quickly bringing herself to overload, transfluid spraying up Red Alert’s aft and spoiler.  They slumped together, sated and happy.  And low on energon.
“Love you.” Red Alert murmured, quickly slipping into recharge, cocooned between his lovers.
“Yeah, love ya both.” Inferno replied, locking optics with Firestar.  Together they manoeuvred Red Alert off Inferno’s spike, and not bothering to clean themselves up, settled down to recharge.
“Love you two.” Firestar murmured, curling up against Inferno, one hand grasping Red Alert’s.

How many times had they fallen into recharge like that, only for the morning cycle to come all too soon, tearing them apart from one another?  How many times had they reunited, each reunion better than the send off they gave themselves?  Little did they know this would be the last time they would see one another for many many years

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“I’m going to do it.” Red Alert announced quietly.  It had been months since they were awakened on Earth, and they were settled in nicely now.  At least in Inferno’s opinion.  Red Alert had had a lot to say on the security of a shuttle stuck in the side of a mountain, and most of it wasn’t pleasant.
“Doin’ what?” Inferno wasn’t exactly sure what Red Alert meant.
“Activate my protocols of course.” Red Alert gave Inferno a strange look, as though Inferno should have known what he was talking about.
“Ah…”
“What?” Red Alert’s voice was flat, and he shifted in his chair so he could look at Inferno properly.
“I don’t think it’s such a great idea right now.” Inferno admitted, a little uneasily.
“Not a great idea?” Inferno could hear by Red Alert’s tone that he wasn’t pleased by Inferno’s admission.
“We ain’t got the resources Red.”
“We’ve got as many resources as we would have had back on Cybertron.”
“Not a proper medbay.  Ratchet’s always complainin’ about that.”
“I want to do this, Inferno.  We had an arrangement.” And he didn’t want to wait too long.  The longer he waited, the more the transfluid would degrade now he was out of stasis.  And the more it degraded, the less chance of a sparkling.
“I ain’t saying ya shouldn’t do it Red.  Jus’… wanna make sure ya know what yer gettin’ yerself in fer.”
“I can’t lose her Inferno.  I can’t.” Red Alert shook his head.  There wasn’t much more he could say, not without his emotions overwhelming him.
“She might still be alive.”
“We’ve been gone four million years, Inferno.  There’s no telling what could have happened during that time.  Four million years…” He trailed off, composing himself.  “I’m doing this Inferno, and I’d really like your support.”
“Red, you’ll always have mah support.”

“You’re what?” Ratchet reached for a scanner, needing to confirm what Red Alert had told him.  If it had been any other mech, Ratchet might have laughed it off.  But something about Red Alert’s face told him the security mech was telling the truth.
“You’re sparked…” He repeated as the scans confirmed what Red Alert had told him.
“That’s what I just told you.” Red Alert sighed.  He’d known the moment he turned on his carrier protocols that would be what happened.  That was after all, why they’d had their ‘arrangement’.
“But how…”
“Do I really need to tell you how sparklings are created?” Ratchet’s huff was all the answer Red Alert needed.
“You do realise I need to inform Prime?”
“I’ve already sent Optimus a message regarding the situation.”
“You’ve got everything planned out, haven’t you?”
“I’d like to think so.” Red Alert hazarded.  He’d planned for everything he could think of.

Going back to Cybertron wasn’t something Inferno ever expected to do.  Neither was seeing Firestar again.  He could hardly believe his optics as the femmes appeared, helping them turn the tide against the Decepticons.

It was only once they got the femmes settled in their new base that they were really able to talk properly.  After all the fighting and the surprise of seeing the femmes, it was nice to just be able to sit and talk.  To catch up with those they’d thought lost from them forever.  Everyone had paired up with friends and lovers, leaving Inferno and Firestar alone.

“Inferno…?” Firestar tilted her head at the look on Inferno’s face.  Inferno never thought he’d see her again, let alone hear her speak.
“I never expected to see you again…” He muttered, lost for words as he wrapped his arms around her.
“Neither did I.” Firestar admitted, voice muffled against his chest plating.  “We waited, but heard nothing…” She paused, pulling back to look at him again, still not over the feeling of having lost both her lovers, only to find out they both still functioned.  It was possibly more of a shock to her, having lived four million years without them.  “Is Red…?”
“Jus’ fine.” Firestar let out a sigh of relief.
“We didn’t know what happened to you.  You have to tell me everything.”
“Everything?” Inferno checked.
“Everything.” Firestar nodded.  Inferno steeled himself.  This was going to be an interesting conversation.

Over the course of the next hour or so, Inferno brought Firestar up to date on everything that had happened since he’d awoken on Earth.  With the exception of one thing.  Red’s sparking.

“What about you?” Inferno sat back and quizzed Firestar.
“It’s a long story.” She admitted, tilting her head.  “You’re not telling me something though.”
“I told ya everthing.” Inferno tried to protest, even though he knew it wouldn’t do much good.  Red Alert and Firestar just knew him far too well.
“Not everything.” She looked at him intently.  “Come on Inferno, what aren’t you telling me?” She paused, then fear crossed her face.  “It’s Red isn’t it?  Something’s happened to him?”
“Nothin’ bad’s happened ta Red.”
“So something’s happened to him?  What?”
“He’s sparked.” Inferno wasn’t quite sure what reaction he was expecting, but he certainly hadn’t been expecting Firestar to laugh.
“What?”
“I just… that’s what you didn’t want to tell me?”
“I didn’t wanna admit that ya’d gone.” Inferno tried to explain.  That was his main reason for not wanting to activate his own protocols, because it would have been admitting to himself that Firestar was no more, and he didn’t think he could do that.
“Oh Inferno, despite what everyone might think, you really are a romantic at spark.” Firestar smiled softly, leaning in against Inferno and wrapping her arms around him.
“Ya ain’t mad?”
“Why would I be mad?  That was after all, the purpose of our arrangement.  I’ll just have to show Red how alive I really am when I see him.”
“Yeah.” Inferno grinned in response, relieved that Firestar seemed to be taking the knowledge that she was now a creator well.
“Besides, there’s something I need to tell you both…”
“What?”
“I’m not saying anything until both of you are here.” Firestar was adamant, and Inferno knew better than to try and push.  He let her distract him with tales of how they’d survived, of raids against Shockwave, anything and everything that had happened over the last four million years.  Until they had to leave.  He promised that he would bring Red Alert back with him as soon as he could.  He wanted to hear what she wouldn’t tell him.  Wanted to know.  They never kept secrets from one another, so for Firestar to do so was strange.  And unnerving.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“She didn’t tell you anything more?” Red Alert’s voice was getting higher pitched the closer Omega Supreme got to Cybertron.
“Nothing more Red.  Now calm down, stressin’ yerself out ain’t good fer the sparkling.” Red Alert grumbled, but didn’t say anything more out loud.  Inferno pulled him closer, resting one hand on Red Alert’s slightly extended abdomen plating, feeling the warmth beneath.
“Besides, once she sees how good ya look, she’ll forget all about what she has ta tell us.”

Inferno wasn’t quite right.  Firestar was amazed at how well Red Alert looked, immediately asking in depth questions about how the carrying was going.  If Red Alert was suspicious, it certainly didn’t show.  It actually looked more like he was enjoying being able to share what was happening with someone who seemed to understand.  He let Red Alert have his moment, letting his optics wander around the rest of the base.  Construction had come on leaps and bounds, and Inferno could see a few mechs from Ultra Magnus’ unit working at a computer terminal.  One mech however, he didn’t recognise.

Firestar noticed Inferno looking around and waved the mech over.
“Inferno, Red.  There’s someone I’d like you to meet.  This is Hot Rod…” She paused as the mech stopped next to her, smiling up at him.  They both took their time in looking him over, both worrying about what this mech meant to Firestar.  He was tall, taller than Firestar with bright red paintwork, the flame decal making Red Alert scowl, not liking how much of a target it made the mech.
“Pleased ta meetcha Hot Rod.” Inferno held out his hand in welcome.  Hot Rod grasped his hand as Firestar spoke again.
“Hot Rod’s your creation.”  Inferno stared at Hot Rod, speechless, only reacting when Hot Rod pulled his hand away, darting to the side in time to catch Red Alert before he hit the ground.
