flarn_fanfic said how she wished someone was doing something similar for redxinferno. And I’m easily suggestible when it comes to that pairing. So I shall be attempting a drabble (100 words) every day. Feel free to poke me (gently) if I miss a day?

December 22 – lagniappe
In the few days Red Alert had been working for him, Inferno had been impressed with what he saw.
“Inferno, sir.” The mech now stood in front of him, reporting on what he’d discovered so far.
“Please, just call me Inferno. Sit an’ help yourself.” Inferno gestured to the seat, and the array of energon treats on the table. Red Alert reached out to take one of his favorites, not entirely sure whether Inferno was meaning the treats sincerely, or as a lagniappe. Either way, he certainly wasn’t going to complain. He didn’t make enough credits to afford such luxuries.
