Warnings: Past rape… potentially. And angst.
Disclaimer: As per usual, the good things in life are not mine to have, but belong to someone else... in this case Hasbro, Takara and IDW and anyone else I’ve forgotten…

“I had no choice!” Red Alert all but shrieked at Optimus. “I believed I had no one on my side, that you were all out to get me.” He sighed, sinking down on a chair, hands covering his face. “And then he was there. So nice, so persuasive.”
“Starscream.” Optimus’ voice didn’t betray anything. Red Alert nodded without moving his hands from his face.
“Yes. I… frag, I can’t even remember what we talked about…” He trailed off, feeling slightly nauseous at the fact he couldn’t remember exactly what happened.
“Red?” Optimus knelt in front of his chair.
“What did I do while I was there?” Red Alert took away his hands, faceplates stricken as he stared at his lover.
“Ratchet could run some tests…”
“No!” To his credit, Red Alert didn’t pull away, he just flinched. “I can’t… not yet.” He didn’t want any of the medical team near him. Not yet. Not after that… they’d repaired his logic circuits, but he didn’t have much choice over that either; mostly because he was offline, but still.
“All right.” Optimus soothed his lover, reaching out with careful hands, not entirely sure of the reaction he would get. He was relieved when Red Alert allowed him to make contact and leant towards him, sliding off the chair into Optimus’ embrace.
“I’m sorry…” He murmured. “He could have… he might have… and I don’t even remember…”
“If he did, then it’s in the past, and there is little you can do to change that.” Optimus murmured softly. “And perhaps it is better that you don’t remember.” He added. Red Alert nodded against his windscreen.
“You don’t… hate me?”
“How could I hate you, Red?” He pulled the bundle of security director away from him so he could look his lover in the optics. “I love you. Nothing will change that. Not blown logic circuits, not anything.”
“I love you.” Red Alert’s optics brimmed with unshed tears and he cuddled close against Optimus again.
